Last updated: September 26, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Fairness
MDNotary4Us is committed to fair, transparent billing. You will always know the cost of a service before it is performed. The terms below explain how deposits, fees, and refunds are handled for appointments and services.
2. Appointment Deposits & Scheduling Fees
Some appointments require a deposit or pre-payment to reserve your time slot. Any deposit requirement is disclosed at the time of booking. Deposits are applied toward the total cost of your service.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund of any deposit.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment may forfeit the deposit to cover the reserved time.
Rescheduling is welcome with at least 12 hours' notice, subject to availability, and your deposit will transfer to the new appointment.
No-shows are not eligible for a refund of the deposit.
4. Completed Services
Once a notarization, fingerprinting, I-9 verification, or other service has been completed, the service fee is non-refundable. Notarial acts and recorded verifications cannot be reversed once performed.
5. Rejected Documents
If a document is rejected by a receiving agency due to an error on our part, we will correct and re-perform the affected service at no additional charge. Rejections caused by incomplete, incorrect, or ineligible information provided by the client, or by requirements outside our control (such as a receiving agency's own rules), are not eligible for a refund.
6. Mobile & Travel Fees
Mobile service may include a travel fee based on distance and location. Travel fees are disclosed before booking and are separate from the service fee. Travel fees are non-refundable once the mobile visit has been completed, but are refundable if the appointment is cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
7. Apostille & Authentication Services
Apostille and document authentication fees cover preparation, coordination, and handling. Fees paid to the Maryland Secretary of State or other government agencies are pass-through costs and are non-refundable once submitted. If we have not yet submitted your documents, we will refund our service fee minus any incurred costs.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us with your appointment details and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
